About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

They have a bunch of videos on Youtube. Here is one: https://youtu.be/lLevTMtLWow. This kid obviously has the best voice but he is already 12, so he better stop forcing it if he wants to have a voice when he is out of puberty.
We have a musical family of 12 (Rabbi and 11 kids, Mom is artistic, rather, than musical), and one of the kids barely made it at 13 to win an International Jewish Star competition (both he and two of his brothesr had been our students). He also composes his own songs with lyrics in three languages https://youtu.be/hm1hTktgEuY

There is also an interview with the family on their website. What an incredible family and their parents look like their older brother and sister. Just checking out your family group now…

The entire family sings and plays various musical instruments, but this boy is the star. When he and his brothers were our students, we had very exciting couple of years.
During that time, the Miami Jewish Film Festival ran a competition for the best student-produced short feature film. Obviously, we won with this boy playing the lead and his brothers singing in the background. When he sang “Jerusalem, the City of Gold” at the end, there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience. Of course, we won as a school, and Yisroel won as the best performer. It’s so sad that this CD is lost!
