I got a good laugh about you talking about the tea. The Hibiscus I grow here is called “Star of Texas Hibiscus”, Mine are not blooming yet, as I grow them in pots in my Koi pond and cut them back to water level in the fall. They grow very fast and within a few weeks they are at least six feet tall and bloom all summer into the late fall. So go here and see a photo from last years growth, especially notice the leaves and you will see why I found the tea comment funny. NO IT IS NOT~! just looks that way.
