Slipping out of the Groove

Slipping out of the Groove

For those of you it might behoove
to operate out of the groove,

I’d like to say that stranger’s better
than performing to the letter.

In things you write and words you speak
it’s much more fun if you’re unique.

Comments boring
create snoring.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I took this photo in La Manzanilla two years ago. This guy had raised both the mother and father squirrels who then gave birth to the baby. He walked along the beach letting folks take his photo, then of course asked for a small fee. I think his small wards thought he was a tree.
