I have a giant blister growing on my foot,
and I’ve had a breakthrough about what’s at its root.
Its cause is not a secret, no mystery at all.
The truth is that I buy my shoes at least a size too small.
Blame it on my vanity that’s making me a gimp.
My need to wear a daintier size is why I have a limp.
Today’s prompt words are breakthrough, giant, blister, root.
Aww, so sorry for these things hurt.

I haven’t worn shoes like this for forty years, if ever. I did teach in three inch heels, but have done neither for that many years.

As I get older, comfort is more important than style for me.

I wouldn’t even try to walk in a heel that high! OW! I’d rather have stilts. Flat shoes for the hours and hours on doctor feet, sigh. I still have dance shoes with hells, (heh, I mean heels) but I take flatter ones for back up.

I hope this is as much a fiction as these shoes you are definitely not wearing.

Ow… blisters hurt. Like Fernando Lamas said, “It is better to look good than to feel good.”

No. No bound feet.
But Fernando Lamas didn’t have to do as much to look good as most of us do.
