The Prayer of the First Astronaut Poet
There is no Wifi in space
and so I send my words
out into the Universe
hoping that each syllable
will emit a ray
somehow connected
to all my other syllables,
and if quantum entanglement
is right, they will one day
find each other
again.
For the diverse Poets Pub the prompt is to write a Sci-Fi Poem

That was really cleverly done, actually, in style and content. Enjoyed the verse much.

A great poem, Judy. No wifi in space… that is true! Words spread like stardust across the milky way.

Bound to come out again if banked there. I even wake up sometimes and realize I’ve been writing a poem in my dream.

I love your prayer of the first astronaut poet, and I imagine that, one day, we will have an astronaut poet laureate. I especially love these lines:
‘hoping that each syllable
will emit a ray
somehow connected
to all my other syllables’.

Thanks, Kim. Fun to think of our words swirling through space one way or another.

You are on board in the Lunar Codex so the word is already ther in space.

But it didn’t make it to the moon this time, did it? Didn’t they just go into high orbit around the Earth? Will they send it up in another? It is so exciting and I give you full credit for arranging it, Björn. It is thrilling to think at least our words will be on the moon.

Judy you know your way around quantum entanglement. I’m sure they will, and may they have the influence of the intent you’ve imbued them with.

Thanks, Lisa. A scientist I’m not, but I do know my way around a metaphor! Always love hearing from you and reading your posts as well.
