For Fibbing Friday this week, we were asked to use our noggins
to try to dream up daffynitions for the following words:

1. Brabble  The contents of a messy underwear drawer.
2. Bedward  Where we are headed after a particularly wearisome day.
3. Crapulous  How one joyfully describes a long-awaited intestinal release!!!!
4. Elflock  A  hold practiced by diminutive wrestlers.
5. Expergefactor  What Daffy Duck once called a formerly  bulimic movie star
6. Groke  A pronouncement of a sore-throated frog
7. Grubble The leftovers of a particularly messy dinner party
8. Lanspresado How we described Lans previous to his last down period.
9. Mumpsimus  Why Mumpsi decides to leave her dull home in search of adventure?
                            Well, simply—because  Mupsimus!
10. Rawgabbit  What one eats when one has no means to cook one’s gabbit.

Images of the skies between Dallas and Billings. I couldn’t resist sending this many to show the changes. Fascinating. This is about half of the photos I took! Love having a window seat and the lovely young woman I sat next to insisted on trading seats during the approach to Billings so I could see the view.

Feeling Blue for Sunday Stills

Because her delight conjured up such memories of the slide in the playground across the street from my childhood home and my own trips down it.
Deep Blue Sea
Berries in the bowl
and on the bush
Because it is the only photo of my sisters and me as adults.
Because it reflects so well the two things I love most about Mexico: the children and the artistry.

Sleeping Over At the Airport

It is 7:20 AM and I’ve been in the Guadalajara Airport since 2 AM. My delayed flight leaves at 9 and I’ll spend another 7 hours cooling my heels in Dallas. All in all it will be 20 hours in airports and in the air and I will arrive 8 hours late and a day late at my destination since I’ll arrive too late at night for my sister to drive the hour and a half to the airport to collect me, and so I will need to spend a night in a hotel. Oh the glories of modern travel. Since my pickup was at 1 AM for the hour trip to the airport , I didn’t go to sleep at all last night and I have had one hour’s sleep on a couch in the VIP lounge which they gave me a pass to. Better than the hundreds of people sleeping on the floor in the ticketing area. Wonder what is up? Heavy rain all the way from San Juan to Guadalajara, so perhaps that has grounded planes.

Neighbors Sergio and David brought over this tasty package.
And Chris and Barb brought me this gorgeous anthurium in a talavera vase. More about this later!
And this little drawing was on my doorstep. Don’t know the artist.
First drinks and nibbles at my house.
Then lunch at Viva Mexico.
Agustin had arranged for music. They were fantastic!
Chris was happy when the margaritas arrived.
And I was excited when my meal arrived.
Each plate was a work of art.
A special surprise at Viva Mexico, but only I got the one with a candle.

Afterwards we came to my house to swim until dark. All-in-all, a perfect day.
