For Cee, who brought a million flowers into our lives!!! xooxox

Here are just a few back, dear Cee!!!!!  You’ve brought a lot of joy into our lives during the years we’ve been following your Flower of the Day prompt (among others.)  I just checked, and discovered I’ve answered your FOTD prompt 2,156 times since I discovered it in 2018. These are just a few of the flowers formerly posted. oxoxoxo Judy

Sadly, Cee passed away earlier this month. To see Becky’s tribute, along with tributes from a number of her other friends and followers, go HERE.

Elephant Foot Palm Blossom: Flower of the Day, June 22, 2016

Yolanda came in today, very excited, to tell me I had to come see the flower on the elefante! I thought she meant the monster plant with giant leaves that Pasiano brought me a couple of years ago that took over the entire east wall, but it turns out it was this elephant foot palm and that it was an entire stalk of blooms. Yes, it is spectacular. Thanks, Yolanda.  I am so busy getting ready to leave that I would not have noticed. That would have been a shame.

The Neighborhood–A Flower a Day, Mar 19, 2016

The most wonderful thing about bougainvilleas is often their surroundings.  They can obscure faults, serve as security and also as home to many creatures: possums, lizards, iguanas and my own cat.  Here are some beautiful places that bougainvilleas exist in La Manzanilla:

Bougainvillea Shadows: A Flower a Day, March 17, 2015

Carried away by its more flashy parts, sometimes we overlook the subtleties of nature.  I found these shadow shots of bougainvilleas to be as intriguing as the flowers themselves.

Red FlowerAnother beauty from my friend Patty’s garden whose name escapes me. I love the color and variety of shape it added to her garden.

Called Obeliscos in Mexico, I have never seen so many varieties and colors of Hibiscus as in the nurseries in the little towns that surround where I live.  I’m going to try to take pictures as the various colors bloom.  I absolutely love the blooms.  Although they do not last long, there is always a new one opening and if Pasiano doesn’t trip too often, dozens at a time popping open on one plant.
