Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge, Week 15: Beach Witchery???

DSC00089

These two ladies arrived at the beach together.  The younger bikini’d woman drew a Hexagram in the sand and stood there for at least 15 minutes, the older woman standing in exactly this same pose 5 feet behind her and about 5 feet to the left the entire time.  I never have been able to create a story to explain what was occurring.  Can you?

If you live near the beach or in a lake resort area as I do, the lines of traffic during Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Mexico cause most of us to just stay home.  But I had a reading I had to go to, so this is what I saw during the 45 minutes it took to negotiate a distance that usually takes 15 minutes. First, the small part that I could see of the miles-long bumper-to-bumper traffic.  Someone in the car in front of me was playing intriguing finger-games similar to shadow puppets with no shadow, and local roadside merchants capitalized on the slow traffic with goods perfect for a hot mineral baths area. Meanwhile, the people in the car behind me could not figure out what in the heck I was doing snapping pictures every few seconds.  You’ll no doubt see some of the others in the months to come.  How photography fills in the otherwise boring hours!!Se

I just couldn’t resist posting this picture. A visiting friend asked if it was okay if he removed his shoes and of course i said no problem. Imagine my surprise when these toes presented themselves to my view, just a foot or so from where I was sitting on a nearby stool. He nonchalantly twitched his toes as he told an engaging tale. They were sort of like a director’s baton, giving emphasis to certain emphatic points in the story.

If you know who this is, shhhhhh, don’t tell.  I don’t want to embarrass anyone.

Is it just me, or do the upside-down shoes look sorta angry and threatening? I think these shoes could give a toddler a complex.

Yes, you are correct. This sign in Spanish is telling us not to molest the crocodiles! I trust on the other side was a sign telling the crocodiles not to molest us! For the rest of the story, go here.

You can see the duckie, right???

Well, here’s the rest of the story. It is just flotsam and jetsam caught on a tree limb on the beach during high tide. At first I thought someone had constructed it, but it is a feat of nature.

Okay. Here is one more. Hours of work on Photoshop?

P3310265

Nope, just a cropping of a simple shot I took of my niece Lainie who is standing behind some art object on a shopping trip to Tlaquepaque when she came to visit me.
