I should know what this red flower is but can’t remember.  I can identify the tradescantia it towers over, however. No doubt someone can tell me what it is??? (Thanks, Forgottenman, for identifying it!)

This little daisy-like vine seems to be creeping toward my wall. Perhaps by next year it will have crept up and over and into my garden.

Sam of Los Perdidos Figured it out! This unusual flower is the bloom of the Pedilantus Bracteatus or “Beautiful Bird Flower Tree.”  Thanks, Sam, for solving the mystery. Below was my original plea for a solution to what it is:

This is one of the most unusual succulent blooms I’ve ever seen It looks like a little person is inside with head erect and arms held out in front. The blooms are on the ends of very long stalks. Does anyone know what it is? Of course, I had to buy it along with the planter arrangement it was part of.

I thought this was lobelia when I bought it, but when I returned home after a month and a half, it had grown so tall that it can’t be. Does anyone know what it is?

I can’t figure out what flower this is that has stowed away in my airplane plant plot and gone to seed, but she is a hoary beauty and it looks like in a few months there are bound to be more of her.  I should take better notes when I snap photos!
