Sometimes we overdo it in editing and cropping and need to be brought back to our senses. Please tell me which view you prefer!
Zinnia Zoom: Flower of the Day, 10/18/15
Zinnia Zoom

I am constantly amazed by what happens as I zoom in on a flower. There is an entire new world revealed at each stage of the zoom! In this way, a flower is a good parallel to everything. The closer we look, the more complex everything is revealed to be. This is why I like poetry. It is the microbiology of words.

“Brokedown” Zinnia: Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge,10/13/15
“Brokedown” Zinnia
I don’t know why this “brokedown” zinnia appeals to me so much, but it does. It looks like it took a bite out of this little berry hanging over its shoulder a week or so ago and then just let it hang!

Cee’s Flower a Day Challenge
I took these pictures in my garden yesterday, before the rain.

This strange object that looks like a meteorite or piece of carved Cinnabar is actually a dahlia. I just edited and edited , using different filters and tools until this was the result. It is rather beautiful, I think, so I’m including it. I think it looks like two hooded women standing back-to-back. If you look closely, you can see the stamens in the center toward the top. They also look like the impression of a turtle.
