I love lobelia but haven’t grown them in 15 years. They thrived in Southern CA but didn’t do great in Northern CA. I always thought they did a great job of filling in between other flowers in hanging baskets. I liked the deep purple ones, but the blue were nice, too.
My faves, in Lobelia were called “Jewel” variety. A deep blue with white centres. I haven’t grown them in a long while, either. Bought as started, I found their cost becoming exorbitant. They always did well around Nelson. As too in London. My Granny always had them, in the flower beds. Cheers Jamie

Yes, lovely. Yet, more than once I’vee seen the plant called, “black-eyed susan”? Which patently, it’s not. … sigh!

This flower is much smaller and a vine..Has colors in common but that is about it.
