Spanish Dancer at Midnight: Flower of the Day, 10/21/15

Spanish Dancer at Midnight

IMG_6829The name of this variety of hibiscus really is Spanish Dancer! Another of my shots taken after midnight with the help of a flashlight. From this angle you can’t see the pinkish red at the center of the inside.

Life is so crazy busy, I just wanted to stop by and say hi, hey, you aren’t forgotten. Just real life is sucking up my time and there’s no end in sight until after the middle of next January! I’m around, just treading water like mad, trying not to drown.

I know what your present busyness is about and I’m surprised you get online at all. I am exactly the same way, but stubbornly trying to keep posting. I can’t read as many blogs as usual but try to read as many as possible. Next week and this one, there is something every day. Halloween and Day of the Dead very big here as you may imagine. Just got back from Halloween shopping at Walmart (shudder) for Yolanda’s kids, Trick or Treat stuff for kids from town, who come in swarms and cookies and jamaica for kids decorating sugar skulls on Friday. Kind of fun, actually, to be caught up in the furor..I may even try to make it to the Pantheon this year–which is a real pageant. At any rate, thanks for letting me know that Morrie and I are in your heart!
