Art Imitates Nature

Suspended in this plastic world, my heart a gaping wound
if not for all the beauty in which it is cocooned.
How would we salvage anything from war and greed and lust
without art’s kind revision of all that is unjust
to make us reclaim hope in life simply because we must?
It’s the alchemy of nature to which we are beholden.
It takes our baser natures, transforming them to golden.

 

Prompts today are golden, salvage, wound, plastic, suspended, and revision.

    As a nature lover, I couldn’t agree more with your sentiments on the importance of art in capturing the essence of nature’s beauty and inspiring us to preserve it. Indeed, in a world dominated by plastic and concrete, it can be difficult to connect with the natural world and find solace in its wonders. When we immerse ourselves in nature, we are reminded of the interconnectedness of all living things and our responsibility to protect the delicate balance of our planet. It is through our connection with nature that we can find hope and a sense of purpose in our efforts to protect our planet for future generations.
