I’ve been zeroing in on this hibiscus since I got home 5 days ago.  This one is about as personal as I’m going to get! You can click on it to zero in a bit more.

Hibiscus

One of the things I gave thanks for today was this gorgeous new hibiscus growing right outside my kitchen door.  You can see its size in comparison to my hand. It will enlarge if you click on it:

Hibiscus: FOTD, Oct 29, 2018

This shadow of a potential hibiscus flower now long dead creates the interest for me in this photo taken months ago in Mexico.

Thunbergia: Flower of the Day, Oct 11, 2018

I just found this photo taken shortly before I left Mexico ten days ago on my computer desk top. I can’t seem to keep this little creeper in its place. It has spread to pretty much every part of my property, even from front to back yard and now seems to want to take over the garage (not to mention my computer). I must admit I don’t do much to try to contain this unruly guest as I love its determination and the fact that I also love its little blooms contributes to my permissive attitude.

Papaya Bloom: Flower of the Day, Sep 21, 2018

IMG_2488These are large blooms, about the size of my hand.  I’ve never paid close attention to them before, but now that I have three papaya trees right beside my kitchen window, it is easier to both see when the fruit is ripe and to notice the blooms.
Here is one of the two papayas I picked from the tree yesterday:
