Stuck on Sepia
Once again, I preferred the sepia version of this flower. See two other alternatives below and tell me your preference. It seems to me that the sepia better reveals the details of both the petals and the raindrops caught in them
Below is a version of the same photo with the saturation decreased from the original:
And below, again, is the actual color of the flower:

Hanging Gardens!
A nursery in Ajijic hung marigolds from a massive tree at its entrance for Dia de los Muertos. Stunning!

Marigolds are seen in profusion on Day of the Day altars and graveyards. I snapped these at the Lake Chapala Society during a lull in the rain today.

Baby Sun Rose on Metate
I love these ancient grinding stones of Mexico and have about a dozen of them scattered through my garden. My plants crawl over them like jungle growth reclaiming the pyramids and other monuments of Mexico!

Xmas in October (Umbrella Plant and Bougainvillea)
The combination of the white and green star-shaped blooms on the umbrella plant combined with the red bougainvillea create a Xmas scene even before Halloween–which is echoed by the Xmas decorations already being displayed next to the Halloween costumes in Walmart in Ajijic. Holiday madness has made it even to Mexico. Sigh.
