Welcome to “The Numbers Game #30” Today’s number is 151. To play along, go to your photos file and type that number into the search bar. Then post a selection of the photos you find under that number and include a link to your blog in my Numbers Game blog of the day. If instead of numbers, you have changed the identifiers of all your photos into words, pick a word or words to use instead, and show us a variety of photos that contain that word in the title.
This prompt will repeat each Monday with a new number. If you want to play along, please put a link to your blog in comments below.
I was not alone in falling in love with these one-of-a-kind huggable monsters made by Jean Mullenaux and had a hard time choosing, but by the end of the day at last weekend’s Ajijic Society of Artists show, nearly all of her loveable creatures had found a home, as is evidenced by these photos of just a few of their new Moms.
At the rate of two per day, she gives birth to each, then sells them and gives all of the proceeds to Operation Feed, a local charity that supports 600 needy citizens of the town I live in—San Juan Cosala, Jalisco, Mexico.
Jean is the last person pictured and the picture before hers is the picture of the huggable creature that went home with me, seen decorating one of my tables at the Ajijic Society of Artists show last weekend. Bless you, Jean, a truly remarkable artist with a more remarkable heart!!!
New Girl
Her turnover in boyfriends is no subject for debate.
They stand outside her classroom door or by her locker wait.
An entire roster of males stands by, perchance to win a date.
There seems to be not one young man loathe to participate.
And though less pretty classmates tend to excoriate,
secretly, each schoolgirl longs to share her fate.
The world is full of femmes fatales: Naomi, Audrey, Kate.
By their very presence they seem to addlepate
every male within their sight, to stir and titillate.
Seemingly unknowingly, they dangle the right bait
that sets the most attractive men into a frenzied state.
It is as though they’re put on earth just to procreate!
There is no power on this earth to which I can equate
the power of these ladies to attract a mate.
If they knew the secret, they perhaps could educate
other women to allure so every man could sate
his passion for a lover at a faster rate,
so the world’s supply of spinsters could more rapidly abate!
The word prompts today are wait, turnover, participate and world. Here are the links:

Isn’t it Obvious?
Isn’t it obvious she dyes her hair?
A color like that is really so rare
that all of the passersby simply must stare.
And look at that bust line and that derriere!
Her skin like a peach, her curves like a pear––
Not an inch of flab on her and no wear-and-tear.
It can’t all be natural. Wouldn’t be fair.
She looks lovely in clothes and she looks better bare.
She looks great as she is, no need for repair.
The contrast is more than a woman can bear.
Though to others I maintain I really don’t care,
each time I see her it’s like a nightmare.
I look in the mirror and just can’t compare.
No facial hair has she. No need for Nair.
Her face never wrinkles, not here and not there.
Her makeup? No smudges. Her nails never tear.
Her clothes never look a tad worse for the wear.
Bags under her eyes? There have never been. Ne’er!
She looks perfect in public. The same in her lair.
And her consort’s the same. They’re the ultimate pair.
Except, isn’t it obvious, she dyes her hair????
It must be obvious by now that the daily prompt was the word “obvious.”
