This is another shot of the copa de oro vine that perished when the pot it was in tipped over in a windstorm and the roots were ripped up from where they’d grown through the pot. It was a mammoth vine. R.I.P. I’ll miss its view from my bed! Without it I’ll be looking at the ugly solar collector for the water heater instead!

Sadly, the tall timber bamboo that this vine was growing over tipped over in its pot due to a strong wind a few nights ago and it killed the vine. Not a flower left! Hopefully it didn’t kill the main trunk, but right now the entire vine is shriveled down to what looks like a dry golden haystack.

This shows all the variations in color of this copa de oro vine. I think perhaps they get lighter as they age a bit. There were at least three distinct colors in this cluster, from light ping to magenta. The palest pink bloom had fallen off the vine and was lying face down on the terrace.. I showed it a few days ago.
