Redundant Small Arrangement. Final Viewing: FOTD July 1, 2022

The first photo was taken by my friend Brad Brahe from his angle at the table. The second view was taken by mefrom mine. The paparazzi were out in full measure. This is the same nosegay that I published a photo of from a different angle yesterday but since then Brad sent his pic and I thought it deserved a viewing.

Golden Bougainvillea: Flower of the Day, Sep 25, 2018

This vine grows over my wall at the lowest end of the garden so I forget it is even there. Today I made quite a few new discoveries about my lawn and garden.  You’ll be seeing a few of them in the upcoming weeks. This is the first. I love this color and think I may have to plant another one in a spot where it is easier to see.

More Bougainvillea: Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge, May 2, 2016

These are the bougainvilleas that are flourishing beneath the royal poinciana tree this year. I can see the ants carrying away the petals that have fallen on the cobblestones.  I’d like to believe they’ve been blown down, but there are probably trusty cutter ants up above, using their incisors to lop off the leaves and petals.  If I don’t do something to wage a war, the bushes and tree will be stripped in a week.  Hate to do it, but this really is war against the cutter ants.

Flor or Faux??? Flower of the Day 11-28-15

Flor or Faux?

Some of these lovely blooms are flowers and some aren’t.  Can you tell the difference?
