I just completed a mixed media assemblage titled “Chaos Theory,” but living up to its name, I forgot to photograph it before I took it to the gallery.  In lieu of it, please click on the first photo to enlarge and read the story of all of these other examples of chaos!

The King of Chaos. I was on my way to a local hotel/restaurant to read my Trump poem from a few days ago when I saw a woman selling this pinata beside the road. I braked, turned around and went to buy it. A man, seeing me buying it, stopped to buy one as well. “Does it have anything inside?” He asked. “No, you have to cut it open in back and fill it,” I answered. “What should we fill it with?” asked his female companion. “I’d suggest filling it with baloney,” I answered. Both the poem and the pinata were a great hit at the reading and the editor of the local paper asked for a copy.
The chaos of things left over to put away after my last trip to the states.

Since the retablo I couldn’t produce when I first did this prompt is now hanging on my wall, I put a photo of it on my blog, and you can see it HERE.

One day’s rewards for a very early beach walk. My other rewards were the shots I got of other early morning visitors finding their own rewards, as pictured in the other two shots. All pictures taken in La Manzanilla, Mexico.

This is my above-ankle tattoo done a month ago. Now almost completely gone, except for a shadow. Relax. It was a henna tat.

Remember the 200 baby turtles we released into the sea a week or two ago? They are long gone, I hope, but I still think of them every day.

Day of the Dead altars give us a perfect way to remember departed loved ones in a non-maudlin manner. This is my husband Bob who passed away 13 years ago. Yes. He loved very cold Coke and crullers, but I couldn’t find a cruller, so this little pastry had to do.

No one knows what or whom the Nazca lines were signaling, but their scale is awe-provoking. I loved playing with the position of the shadow of the plane in relation to the ancient symbols.
