Yellow!!!Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge Jan 13, 2016

                                                                              Yellow!!!

IMG_1011Finally!!!! I’ve been saving this one for this challenge for weeks now and keep bringing it up from my desktop.  I’ve never seen a yellow poinsettia before and think it probably changed from green to yellow to white or some other color, but I loved it at this stage!!  So glad to finally be able to use it.  I promise no more poinsettias for awhile.  Well, unless there’s a really neat one!!!  Backsliding already.

Thanks, Vonita. It is maybe my favorite of the at least 365 I’ve posted in the past year. Don’t know why…Mainly the spaces like gaps between teeth and the unusual color, I guess. It just captured my interest and won’t let go! Now perhaps I can lay it to rest in my “Posted” folder!

Thanks, Cee. I thought I’d put a link in…I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Packing car, meeting for anthology today and housesitter coming so getting house ready…plus painters here but it rained. It never rains in January! Ah well. There are mothers with three kids who are this busy every day!

Just a wee bit of genetic altering. Your poinsettias bloom like clockwork out there? I have read if you want your Christmas poinsettia to bloom you have to keep it in a completely dark place for a certain length of time and it will come back and re-bloom. I have never tried it but I guess it makes sense. That’s talking about potted poinsettia plants, yours grow down there like ragweed grows in this country evidently.
