The leafcutter ants have not been stealing my bougainvillea as much this year. Thus, this healthy crop.

The palm flowers are dried and about to start raining down on everything below . This is one stalk overlooked by the tree cutters. I’m just hoping a big wind doesn’t come up and blow them all into the pool. Pretty, but messy. It’s good to have leaves and flowers on the Plumeria, though. It has been naked branches since before Xmas.

The first photo shows the fruiting bundle of the palm tree in full bloom. The men came yesterday to trim them off the trees. Pretty, but a real mess when the petals fall like snow to cover the surface of the pool as well as the grass and terrace. If the fruit is left to ripen and fall, it is a further daily chore to clear them away. The dogs love them but can choke on the huge pits.
See Cee’s great daily flower HERE.
Lifelessons
My perception see-saws between wonderment and worry,
all our lovely world devoted to such hurry
that in the furious ruckus, much is overlooked,
as if every second has been overbooked.
Take time to watch the sunrise and to hear the finch’s song.
Pick these things like flowers and carry them along.
Everything’s a lesson. All of nature is a book,
so between your rushing-offs, be sure to have a look.
