I took all of these photos while snorkeling in the coral cove at Tenacatita Beach on the Jalisco, Mexico coast.

Robin Easter Eggs (Can’t get more robin egg blue than this!)
And, a few weeks later:
Color Your World Robin Egg Blue
Thanks to okcforgottenman for allowing me to use the photograph of the nest and eggs he sent me on Easter day four years ago as well as the subsequent photos of the chicks and empty nest.. I had never seen robin eggs before and had imagined them to be more of a sky blue, but this turquoise color is gorgeous.

I seem to be stuck on orange and blue for my contrasting colors! But, the one of the animals seems to contain most of the opposites: yellow and purple, orange and blue, red and green, purple and green, gold and blue, tangerine and dull blue, green and violet, Perhaps I’ll find more tomorrow when I’m not so sleepy.

When I was little, I knew how to get back at my 4 years older sister. All I had to sing was this “silly little song” that Rosemary Clooney recorded with the Children’s Choir. The thing was that I knew she hated it and would yell at me for singing it and then my mother, who was grooming me for small town stardom, would yell at her for yelling at me. Oh yes, the world was peachy after I learned “Peachy Peachy Choppa Choppa Nya Nya Nya!”
But, this wasn’t the main reason I was delighted when I saw the color prompt was “Peach” today. The main reason was that tonight I snapped this incredibly colored sunset photo that unless I’m mistaken, will pass for peach. I’ve done no color alteration on it, by the way. With the clouds and the islands, perfect.

Duke and Daisy accompanied us to Tenacatita. After the rains and high winds we’ve been having, it was too choppy to snorkel, so we all roamed the beach. I picked up three bags of coral and shells from the beach and totally sliced open one water shoe. But, how could I be blue? I left that to the ocean.

Outer Space
One day we’ll have to leave this place
to venture into outer space;
but probably I’ll be long gone
when we all venture over yon.
If outer space is simply gray,
I’m glad I’ll miss that awful day.

After being totally ubiquitous in the seventies, it seems as though olive has totally disappeared in this world… at least in mine. I had to resort to a photo shoot on the beach…Ha.
