My plumeria tree just keeps on blooming this year. The leaves are lusher than usual as well. I’ll try to enjoy them before the rains come and pick them all!

Looks like a little bougainvillea parade. The white guys are the actual flowers. The red petals are the leaves. Bet you knew that!

My plumeria tree is in full bloom right now. It is in the lower garden right next to my pool, which is raised about 5 feet above it due to the fact that my house is built on a mountain. So, the blooms are right at eye level and above. Perfect to enjoy this lovely stage of growth.
Now, go see Cee’s tulip. Spectacular!!!
I saw this extravagently hued bougainvillea outside a cafe/gallery where we saw the work of a talented young Guadalajaran artist. Rich colors inside and out.

The sign on this gallery/restaurant in San Antonio Tlaquepan said “Mui Rico.” It suited both the flowers outside as well as the cuisine and rich colors of the art display inside.

This Royal Poinciana is just about to pop!

There are so many varieties of Heliconia and some of them are often confused with Birds of Paradise, but each of the flowers in this photo, other than the red ginger, is a heliconia. From my friend’s garden in La Manzanilla, Mexico.
For Cee’s daily flower prompt.

Thanks, Iwbut, Cee and Michele for identifying this little flower. I’ve always loved the name periwinkle but never really knew what they looked like.
