This color would look beautiful in a bouquet with Cee’s grape hyacinths!

My plumeria tree is in full bloom right now. It is in the lower garden right next to my pool, which is raised about 5 feet above it due to the fact that my house is built on a mountain. So, the blooms are right at eye level and above. Perfect to enjoy this lovely stage of growth.
Now, go see Cee’s tulip. Spectacular!!!

Love the polka dots on these hydrangeas just snapped at a local outdoor restaurant today.

I saw this extravagently hued bougainvillea outside a cafe/gallery where we saw the work of a talented young Guadalajaran artist. Rich colors inside and out.

The sign on this gallery/restaurant in San Antonio Tlaquepan said “Mui Rico.” It suited both the flowers outside as well as the cuisine and rich colors of the art display inside.
My Royal Poinciana is positively lush right now.

Cee’s May Day flowers are here: https://ceenphotography.com/2017/04/30/flower-of-the-day-may-1-2017-wisteria-is-starting-to-blossom/
Here is my backyard and studio, taken yesterday, plus a closeup of the tabachine. You’ve seen plenty of closeups of the bougainvillea in the past. Click on either photo to enlarge both. it’s hard to remember what season you are in in Mexico as there is always something blooming. The bougainvillea bloom year round and the tabachine a couple of times a year. I just heard the first rainbirds (actually an insect–cicadas) this week so the rainy season will soon be upon us. Then those hills behind my studio will be verdant green.

I didn’t realize I’d caught a visitor until I started cropping this shot.

Few besides this fellow climb as high as the bougainvilleas do.
This was how high up he eventually got, and other palms he climbed this day were twice as high!

Alas, cut short in their youth before they could litter my pool and clog up my drain.
