The last day of the year, last flower of the year. This is my very favorite color of bougainvillea. Pasiano had just watered and by chance I caught it at the right moment.

The rainy season on Lake Chapala turns everything a lush green.  Although generally they flourish in a drier climate, the bougainvillea seem not to be minding it either.

I’ve know bougainvilleas to grow to the top of huge Norfolk Island Pines here.  These are regular pine trees, but they were still pretty high up.

These sculpted bougainvillea bushes run up the center divider at the entrance to the fraccionamiento where I live.  Quite an artistic and sculptural effect. Click on the first photo to see them better.
