Bougainvillea: Flower of the Day June 7, 2016
Is one bougainvillea starting to look like all the others? If so, I’ll give them a rest for awhile, but could’t resist snapping another flower within a (seeming) flower.

Canna Lily: Flower of the Day June 6, 2016
The cannas are at their very best right now and I took dozens of shots of them yesterday, but this is my favorite. Hopefully they weren’t all battered by tonight’s wind and rain.
Tabachine with Black Swallowtail: Flower of the Day, June 5, 2016
This tabachine bush was covered with butterflies, but they are almost impossible to photograph. They are constantly lighting for a few seconds and then flying off, circling, lighting––but never long enough to get much more than a blue. I felt fortunate to get one good shot.

I can’t get enough of these Spanish Dancer Hibiscus. There is a new one every few days on the bush I have to pass to get to my garage.

I love this Indian Shot flower in its two stages of going to seed.

Golden Shower Tree––Flower of the Day May 29, 2016
I couldn’t reisist three more shots of the “Lluvia de Oro” or Golden Shower Tree. The sun was right today and they are so exotic up close.
