Little Duck’s Further Adventures: Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge 2016, Week 38, WordPress One Word Photo Challenge–Quest

Little Duck’s Further Adventures

It’s been awhile since we have heard from Little Duck.  As you know, since he is of limited vocabulary, he usually shares his adventures via photographs, and the same is true of adventures he has shared with us since I’ve been visiting him in Missouri.  When last we saw Little Duck, he was sitting on the dash of Forgottenman’s car, awaiting my arrival. Since then, as you will soon see, he has been very busy.

Seeing the World in Black and White

I actually stopped the woman pictured in the first picture and asked if I could photograph her hair.

What Are the Chances? Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge 2016 Week 21

I swear this is not a setup!  I came in, tossed some change down on the desk and opened my computer.  After working for a few minutes, I looked down and this is what I saw.  Luckily my camera was handy just a few steps away.  What are the chances that the coin would balance itself on edge like this???? Again..I couldn’t balance it if I tried.  My friendly desk poltergeists had a hand in it.

Sunset reflected in Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico, last November.

I was invited by Cee from ceenphotography.com to participate in a challenge called Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge. (Check out Cee’s nature photos as well as her thousands of other wonderful photographs by clicking on the link above.

As part of this challenge, I am to post one nature photograph a day for one week and to ask one other person to join the challenge each day.  Today I ask you to check out the  photography of Irene Waters  and I’m nominating her to take part in the Seven Day Nature Challenge as well.

Depth of Field

Depth of Field

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This may be my favorite photo I’ve ever taken. It reminds me of a Monet painting.

This photo of Yolanda’s daughter and son was taken the same day as the trees. I love the sense of wonder  both of them gazing into the hazy landscape provides.

I also love the crispness of this turtle against the more muted lily pads.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I don’t know if this shot qualifies as an example of a depth of field shot as prescribed, since most of it is slightly out of focus; but I like the shot and how the flowers stand out a bit.  This building conveys such a sense of mystery to me.

I couldn’t decide which of these “Monet” shots I liked best, so I included them both.

How Now?

How Now?

I love this sequence of expressions as my long time friend Marti was relating a story to us. Since I’ve known her for 50 years–yikes!–I know these typical expressions. Only by taking almost constant photos was I able to capture them all. I enjoyed stretching this longtime friendship into the “now” during our 5 days together over Xmas.
