Favorite Photos of 2022 for Lens Artists Challenge: Help!!!!

If I had to look back through all the photos I’ve taken this year, it would take hours, so I’ve chosen to present four of my favorites from this month. Help me decide which one to cut, please. This prompt limits me to three. I’m decisioned out so I’m relying on you to help me pick the best three.

I love this photo for what it represents to me. Freedom and rising above the problems of the world.
I love the painterly quality of this photo.
I love this photo because it represents a surreal view of a favorite scene I face every day.

Sky Blue––Thunbergia Grandiflora: Flower of the Day, May 21, 2017

Just try to convince me that this thunbergia isn’t sky blue! The first photo is of a thunbergia flower on the vine near my studio.  The second is a mistake shot I took of the sky seconds later.  I was amazed at how the colors matched!

Sunday Trees Challenge 2016/08/14

There is something about this photo of a tree peeking over my sister’s neighbor’s roof that I just like.  Perhaps it is the cloud’s echo of the tree’s shape, or the juxtaposition of the nearly horizontal hard straight line of the eaves trough to the softer vertical shapes of the tree and cloud.. or just the colors.  More likely a combination of all of these elements.

Palm Tree Skyscape

I saw this cloud/jet trail combination from where I sat at an outside mall restaurant.  I jumped up and  tried out several locations, but decided I liked this view the best. This is my favorite type of palm tree.. such a beautifully sculpted trunk.  It gives a bit of texture to this otherwise pretty smooth scene.

We saw balloons going up almost every day we were here.  On Xmas Eve, the sun and clouds cooperated to give fantastic views.  Today it was perhaps too windy or we didn’t look up at the right time, so we didn’t see any balloons.  In any case, each time I was glad I was below snapping the picture and not above, being snapped!!

Can you see the tree in the bottom picture that looks like it is wearing a shoe?  Strange. (That is not one of the similarities!)
