To live in yesterday’s a sorrow.
From the past I need not borrow.
All I need is my tomorrow.

Finding Heart: Have A Heart Challenge

There are times when we have to look extra hard for heart in this world, but it is always there. Even in the three hardest and most frightening experiences in my life, I was able to find a heart that got me through the experience. Heart is what pulls us through the hardest times and what makes for the best of times. Please share by story or photos or both, a time when you found heart and post your pingback in the comments section of this post. You might also want to publish it HERE. (That’s the very last prompt page WordPress published. Appropriately, their subject was RSVP.)
Does Anyone Know What This Bug Is?
It is about an inch long and runs very fast. I took 2 dozen pictures of it and this was the only one that wasn’t blurred! I’ve never seen one before. Looks like it should have wings, but it doesn’t. The answer? It is called a Cow Killer Ant or a Velvet Ant but it is actually a variety of wasp whose female is wingless. It is called a Cow killer Ant because of the saying that its sting is so painful that it could kill a cow!
My studio is my refuge––a place I’m never hounded.
Safe within my compound walls, its door is never pounded.
There is no telephone at all, no internet or texting.
No sense of what I should have done, no hurrying or “nexting.”
Its drawers are full of little things; its shelves are full of paint.
For when it comes to art supplies, I have little restraint.
Some might call it cluttered and I cannot deny it;
for if it’s miniature and cheap, I cannot help but buy it.
Here I paint, arrange and glue––what some would label “playing,”
and if objects perchance might fall, they stay where they are laying.
Yet I’m at home within it, for I know where each thing goes.
Never quite so happy as when making retablos.
Within my many drawers of flowers and charms and old watch parts,
of animals and tiny fruits, there is a drawer of hearts.
So if “home is where the heart is,” my studio is my home––
the place that I come back to, wherever else I roam.
Often it’s disorganized–things piled and under feet.
Cruel folks say its cluttered, but the tactful say “replete.”
But, the truth is when I’m busy, the mess soon grows absurd.
and it’s true my studio’s homely in both meanings of the word!
Repleted: 1. filled or well-supplied with something. synonyms:
Homely: 1. unattractive in appearance. 2. (of a place or surroundings) simple but cozy and comfortable, as in one’s own home “a modern hotel with a homely atmosphere”

R.S.V.P.: Partying with Best Friends
For four good friends, if they would come,
I’d just serve wine and Coke and rum.
Three would have to travel far
and couldn’t come by foot or car.
On the plane, while flying in,
they’d begin their life of sin––
ordering drinks to get in training.
Meanwhile, airline food disdaining.
Only one could get here quickly.
She could be here lickety splickly.
We’d have a bit of wine and rum
so when the others finally come,
we’d be caught up and go right on
and keep this up till all are gone.
Gone my friends and gone the wine.
Time to get back into line!!!!!
On the run to get the the Feria, but you know who you are!!! https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/rsvp/ Plan the perfect party for someone you like best.
“Genius” With All The Trimmings!!!
Pretty tall tree. How’s the best way to trim it?
Everyone’s been wondering, and soon there’s not an employee to be found from housewares to car accessories. They’ve all gathered for the show.
Because someone has come up with an smart idea.
Just put a guy up on the tallest wheeled ladder they have–perhaps the one for changing ceiling lightbulbs?
And station a guy below, not just to hold it steady,
But to wheel him around the tree. If he just doesn’t get dizzy, the perfect way to wind the lights around, stepping down a step or two every revolution. Somebody deserves a raise for thinking this one up! (The store is Walmart, in Ajijic, Mexico. Yes Emily, there is at least one Walmart store in every sizable town in Mexico!)
