Another one I used to know the name of but no longer do. If anyone does, I’ll add the name if you clue me in. So little time.. so many unidentified plants! I loved the sky as much as I did the flowers on this day…I may paint my house this color!

The real flower of the bougainvillea is usually outshone by its brilliantly colored leaves. Here the flower gets its due–center stage–while the flashy leaves retreat into the darkness.

I photographed these flowers at the lovely Chantli Mare Beach Hotel near La Manzanilla. I used to grow them in California and I believe they are pentas star flowers.

These lilies just about got away from me, since they are on a side of the house where I rarely go, but my houseguest clued me in to their existence and I caught them just past their prime.

I saw this tree in full bloom as I was driving along the carretera and promptly pulled over to photograph it. You’ll see more of it in the future. It was impossible to get a bad shot of this tree! Thanks, Judy Reeves, for identifying it for me. What a poetic name. I should have guessed its name!!!!
